This is the market place of Senonge where, in 1579, Christophé de Thysac murdered Balthazar de Hennezel and fled to England. Christophé was later granted full remission by the Duke of Lorraine but never returned to claim his inheritance, the beautiful Château of Lichecourt.
A Tilt Hammer still in existence today at Abbeydale Hamlet that William Tyzack bought from the Dysons some years after founding his scythe making works in 1812.
